Web development services

Freelance and contract work for startups, agencies and growing businesses, from a first build to taking over a site that already runs.

  • Laravel web app development

Custom web applications on Laravel and PHP 8.3 with MySQL: booking engines, SaaS dashboards, payroll and membership systems. Multi-tenant data, role-based access, payment gateways and scheduled jobs, shipped with tests and documentation so the next developer can pick it up.

  • React front-end development

Fast, accessible interfaces in React and Tailwind CSS, connected to Laravel through Inertia.js or an API. Server-rendered where search matters, so Google and AI assistants read real HTML, and tuned to pass Core Web Vitals on phones.

  • E-commerce development

Shopify stores with custom Liquid sections, WooCommerce on WordPress, and custom PHP checkouts. Local and global payments through PayMongo, Xendit, PayPal, GCash and Maya, with prices calculated on the server so nobody can change them in the browser.

  • Website rescue and maintenance

Taking over a site or app another developer left behind. An audit first, then the urgent fixes, then speed, security and updates, reported in plain English and documented so the site stops depending on one person.

  • Marketing automation and analytics

HubSpot workflows, lead capture and nurture emails, plus GA4 and Google Tag Manager events that show which pages bring in leads. For sites that get traffic while the team cannot see what it earns.

  • AI features with the Claude API

AI that drafts, summarises or suggests inside your own app, with a person approving every change before it is applied. Built to fall back to a plain template when AI is switched off, so nothing breaks.

How a web development project runs

  1. Scope

A short call, then a written scope with what is in, what is out and what it costs. No surprises later.

  2. Build

Working software early and often, on a staging link you can click. Code the next developer can read.

  3. Ship

Tested, deployed and measured. Analytics and error logging go in before launch, not after.

  4. Stay on

Most clients keep me after launch for fixes, speed and new features. The site keeps earning.

FAQ: hiring a full-stack developer in the Philippines

What does Nick Ricamora build?

Nick Ricamora is a full-stack web developer in Cebu City, Philippines. He builds booking platforms, SaaS products, e-commerce stores and marketing sites, mostly with Laravel, React and PHP, plus Shopify and WordPress when the business already runs on them.

Which tech stack does he use?

For new web apps: Laravel on PHP 8.3 with MySQL, React through Inertia.js, and Tailwind CSS, built with Vite. For stores: Shopify with Liquid or WordPress with WooCommerce. Python for desktop agents, Three.js and WebGL for 3D, and the Claude API for AI features.

Does he work with US and international teams?

Yes. Most of his clients are in the US. He works remotely from Cebu City with overlap into US business hours, and reports in plain English on a shared staging link.

Can he take over an existing site or app?

Yes. Taking over code another developer wrote is a large part of the work: he audits it, fixes what is urgent first, and documents it so it stops depending on one person.

Why hire a full-stack developer from the Philippines?

You work directly with a senior developer who writes fluent English and overlaps US business hours from Cebu, often at a lower rate than a US agency. Nick has more than 20 years of experience and there is no agency layer between you and the person writing the code.

Does he build Shopify and WordPress sites too?

Yes. Alongside custom Laravel apps, Nick builds Shopify stores with custom Liquid sections and WordPress sites with WooCommerce and Elementor, for example Elakai Outdoor, the American Cornhole Association store and The Store Miami.

Can he add AI features to an existing app?

Yes. Nick adds Claude API features such as drafting, summarising and suggestions to existing PHP and Laravel apps. Every AI output waits for a person to approve it, and each feature falls back to a plain template when AI is turned off.

How does a project start?

Send a short message through the contact form with what you are building and where it is stuck. You get a reply within one business day, then a call and a written scope with a fixed quote.

Start a project

Tell me what you are building and where it is stuck. I read every message myself and reply within one business day. If it is not something I should take on, I will say so.

What do you need?

What it is, who it is for, and any deadline. The more specific, the more useful my first reply.
